More than meets the eye. For the Vetra floor lamp, designer Joan Gaspar used a completely closed glass diffuser as a reflector, creatively placing the light source on the outside of the shade. This piece, made from matte-finished blown glass with a lacquered aluminum dissipater and iron base, beautifully emits steady & bright light without a glare. With much of the light directed downward, the rest is filtered toward the inside of the shade, creating subtle illumination.
