Inspired by the natural elegance of French 18th-century style ceramics, this Drape soup plate from Parisian-based ceramic studio Astier de Villatte imitates the texture of flower petals in bloom. Handmade on the Rue St. Honore in Paris, these ceramics are crafted in a traditional pottery style passed down from generation to generation, putting forth one-of-a-kind objects both romantically bohemian and practical in their everyday use. Hand molded from black terracotta, each piece from Astier de Villatte is finished in a milky-white glaze that highlights the unique character of the clay, celebrating its imperfections and ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
