  • Care instructions Minor spills: Remove the protector and spot clean the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow it to fully dry before placing back on the mattress. Washing: Machine wash the Naturepedic protector pad on a delicate or gentle cycle in cold water using a mild, natural detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, hot water or harsh agitation, they can cause the waterproof membrane to degrade over time. Drying: Tumble dry on low heat, ensuring the pad is completely dry before placing it back on the bed. Air-drying is the safest method to preserve the integrity of the waterproof membrane. High heat will damage the waterproof membrane. Always double check the pad is 100% dry before returning it to the mattress to prevent mildew or odors from forming. Sanitizing: For accidents, the surface may be sanitized by pouring a 3% hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol on the soiled area. Let it soak in, scrub gently with a soapy cloth and let it dry entirely.
