Woodgrain Velvet Pillow, Gunmetal

The mesmerizing woodgrain pattern evokes the tactile quality of wood, each vein another layer of storied character added throughout the years. Juxtaposed with lustrous silken velvet, the pattern takes on an endlessly enchanting appearance that complements the interiors. This design began in Kevin’s sketchbook, was printed on silk velvet, then hand-painted in small batches by artisans in Philadelphia. Dye is applied by hand in layers on the velvet fiber surface. Variations in color are part of the nature of their unique dying process.
