Persian, finely-woven rugs from the city and eponymous county located within the province of Hamadan. The colors and patterns of antique Malayer rugs are rich and varied. Tiny boteh motifs are often used to create tremendous allover patterns, though they may also feature large-scale arabesques with curvilinear vine scrolls.
