In 1875, Arthur Lasenby Liberty embarked on a visionary quest, founding a London emporium that epitomized luxury and eclectic elegance. With a modest £2,000 borrowed from his future father-in-law, Arthur transformed a building on Regent Street into a haven filled with exquisite fabrics and ornaments sourced from across the globe. His ambition and dedication quickly captured the hearts of society, sparking a fascination with the mystique of the East and establishing "Liberty Style" as a hallmark of opulence during the Art Nouveau period in Italy.
