How to Choose a Rug Style for Your Space

Rug style is largely a question of how a room already reads. A space built around clean lines, neutral furniture, and minimal ornamentation usually calls for a contemporary or modern rug — abstract patterns and geometric layouts that echo the room rather than compete with it.
