This 6’7” x 11’6” vintage Turkish kilim rug is handmade in Turkey and inspired by the early 20th century by nomadic Anatolian communities in Kanya and Malatya, carrying with it the rich heritage of a bygone era that transports you to another world. Handwoven from natural wool, each thread tells a story of tradition and craftsmanship.
The wool is dyed using natural, plant-based pigments — eucalyptus, madder red, indigo, and iris — sustainably sourced from roots, bark, leaves, berries, and wildflowers, ensuring the living plants remain untouched.
As the years have passed, the colors of this vintage kilim rug have gracefully softened into earthy tones, their gentle fading creating a palette that evokes warmth, history, and a deep connection to nature.
More than just a piece of décor, this vintage Turkish kilim rug brings an authentic sense of soul to any space, its handmade artistry reflecting the cultural richness and time-honored techniques of Anatolia. Transform your home with this timeless, storied treasure.
